It is a pleasure to invite you to the ‘2^nd GCC Learning Disability Conference’ (LDC) to be organized by Ishara Consultants on the 15^th and 16^th of October 2008 at the Dubai Women’s Association | Dubai, UAE.

There are several thousand children who suffer learning disability (LD) such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD, processing disorders and nonverbal and suspect LD.  Research has shown that these underachievers seldom get the right opportunity to come out of their disability

This key event is expected to trigger a paradigm shift in the perception about the critical social and educational issue of learning disability.

To be addressed by globally renowned experts, the conference would focus on the growth of regional society and educational and social trends that would have a bearing on every aspect of life of people in the GCC countries.

There will be keynote addresses and presentations by psychologists, educationists and thought leaders, whose initiatives, analyses and assessments of the situation would lead to serious soul-searching on vital social issues.

Among the international speakers who will join the event are: Dr.Steve Chinn: Dyslexia and mathematics /dyscalculia guidance (UK), Dr.John Everatt – Surrey University (UK), Dr.Kate Nation Professor in Experimental Psychology - University of Oxford (UK), Mr. Stuart Dennis Executive Principal CEO, GEMS World Academy, Dubai – UAE, and Dr.Onita Nakra, Educational Psychologist and Counselor (Dubai UAE).
